Vision of Students Today was completed in 2007 by students @ Kansas State University
Class size is on the rise. Teachers don’t know their student’s names. Students feel 26% the writing assignments are relevant to their real lives. They are only reading 49% of the readings assigned. They are on personal laptops using social networks. The amount of money wasted for a percentage of students is concerning. Money spent on books not used. Some of the students added up different tasks that they do and totaled 26.5 hours a day. The cost of a laptop vs. an income for one year is important to show.
To summarize, The Vision of Students Today, shows how kids are wasting their time in the class room with different activities. Students are more worried about their social lives instead of their schooling. In trying to decide who is to blame, we all agreed the blame lies on the student. Why not just spend 2 hours in class focused on what the Professor is saying, instead of being online? They are blaming class size and not knowing professors; maybe it’s more about having a mature attitude and making the most of any situation.

I like your set up and way of summarizing the video. I'm sure that perhaps some people would not agree with you, and there would be arguments about complete sentences and the like, but I think your approach to summary is effective. I like that you all came to a consensus and reached an agreement on the matter. I do, for the most part agree with your stand. I think that students should be responsible for their own education. We can only be guided for so long before we need to take our education into our own hands. If we choose to make poor decision about our time and use of technology than that is on our own conscience, not that of our professors. We can choose to abuse the technology out there, or use it beneficially. You decide.
