Amanda's Intro

Hi everyone... my name is Amanda.

I'm currently doing the full-time Running Start program which basically means, I'm still a high school student but attend all of my classes here at Whatcom. The last time I attended anything academic-related was in October. I ran into some things that made it hard for me to fully concentrate on the right stuff--but I'm back now! I'm glad to be here and feel very determined to get passing grades so I can graduate on-time with my class (class of 2011).

A significant interest of mine would definitely be Astrology. Most of the people who know me pretty much group "astrology" and "amanda" into the same category. I'm so intrigued with the subject. I don't necessarily know everything about it, but I do know more than I thought I ever would! I'm a Capricorn, by the way (probably one of the most dull signs of the zodiac, but I'm really not that bad once you get to know me!)

The kinds of writing I tend to take part in the most would definitely be blogging. I don't blog for a specific audience. It's mostly just a way for me to express myself and reflect on life. I need to write like this because it helps me learn about who I am and I'm more able to see my thought process without getting confused. Writing in a diary-like format has always been the easiest for me to articulate my ideas, I suppose.

It's really intimidating to be around people who're older than me, but despite it, I'm hoping to meet some new people and become accustomed to this new atmosphere!
