In This PBS documentary we see how just how much time teens and young adults are spending online. Were starting to get more involved with the online world at such a younger age and were spending way too much of our time on the computers. In a way all the time spent online is creating a different world for young teens. They are developing a different sense of reality or essentially no reality at all. Young adults can do absolutely anything from the computer. You really do not have to leave the comfort of your bedroom for anything. You can chat with friends online, watch your favorite show and even play a game of golf if you'd like. All of these online activities I believe will create problems for young adults to survive in the real world. There is no happy medium anymore between internet use and real life activities. Even playground bullying is taking place online, we've read or heard about young teens who have commited suicide because of this online abuse. Can we keep our young teens and even adults safe from this new world of technology or can we teach them to be aware of online threats?
I enjoy using the internet for facebook, emailing and catching up on the latest news. I feel that I'm one of the lucky ones who isn't so obsessed with daily checing my facebook or even using the internet daily. I would write about finding the happy medium to use todays technologies but still keeping in touch with the real world through human interactions.
