Jim

I am Jim, I have been in Bellingham for 13 years now. I came from Nova Scotia, Canada, via Vancouver, BC. I was born in Rhode Island, but had lived little in the US until 13 years ago. I have dual citizenship, so I thought I would come down here to check it out. In my time here I got married, had a child and divorced. My ex-wife and I are good friends, and raise are child together. His name is Waylon, he is 12 years old and we home school him.
I have a fairly good education from Canada, but worked in the sheet metal trade most of my life. This has never been satisfying for me, so the time has come to do something different.
I am a musician, and play in different venues around town. I teach guitar and of course write songs. Music is my passion. I love all music except maybe Norwegian Death Metal.
As of late I have really not had opportunity to do a lot of writing. I have mostly, for the last year or so, been writing lyrical words on odd pieces of paper here and there and then bringing them together in a song. Only then will I write it down. I do text, but hate to use sort terms with text and will not answer anyone who does. I love proper English, so I try to speak it and write it as best I can. To me there is beauty in the written word. It inspires imagination and deep thought. My wish, is to get better at it.
